Tap a scale. Hear the piano. Sing. Go as high or as low as your voice wants — the scale keeps walking until you stop it. Tempo, direction, step size, and transition cue are all live controls. Change them while you sing.

Your coach plays a new scale in your lesson. Play it back on a keyboard. VocalScale detects every note and rebuilds the scale for you — ready to practise at home, on the train, between lessons.
No more "what was that scale we did on Tuesday?"

The exact scale your coach taught you in lesson. A creative pattern for your warm-ups. A scale to nail the tricky run in your audition piece. Tap notes onto a row, set durations and rests, drag to reorder. If you can name your notes, you can build a scale.

Singers don't practise one scale. You practise a sequence — a 5-minute warmup, an audition prep, a pre-show routine. Build it once, save it, run it daily. Group your scales into collections. Save them. Share the whole thing as one code.

I built VocalScale because I couldn't find what I needed for my own voice — couldn't pick where to start, couldn't push as high as I wanted, couldn't slow it down. So I built what I wished I had.

It's a scales app. You can use it to warm up, but you can also use it for daily practice, lesson homework, range exploration, audition prep — anywhere you'd otherwise reach for a piano. The thing that makes it different is how much it adapts to you, live.
Not to use the curated scales — tap one, hear it, sing. To build your own you need to know your note names, but you don't need to read sheet music.
When a scale walks up or down through different keys, you choose what plays between each key: nothing, a single reference note, or a two-note transition. Lets you match how your coach plays scales for you, so practising at home feels like the lesson.
The app does — once a scale is on your device, it plays without internet. Useful backstage, on the train, in theatres with patchy wifi. The browser version needs a connection.
Yes. They generate a six-character code, you type it in, the scale lands in your list. You don't need an account to receive. Sending scales is free for everyone — no subscription or special tier needed.
Play a scale on a keyboard. VocalScale detects the notes and rebuilds the pattern. The scale your coach plays you in lesson is in your pocket by the time you leave the room. Premium feature.
We're running a small private beta with friends and early testers — about 12-25 singers. Beta testers get a free year of Premium when we launch publicly, as a thank-you for testing. Public launch will come with its own intro offer.
